D’n’P Events was formed by Dave Lamb and Dan Broughton in 2009 bringing together D’n’P Disco and Karaoke Roadshow along with Sounds United Disco, but our roots go much further than that!!
D’n’P Disco and Karaoke Roadshow.
D’n’P Disco Roadshow was formed by Dave Lamb in
2002 since then has gone from strength to strength. Karaoke was later added to the
list of services provided by Dave so the name of D’n’P Disco and Karaoke Roadshow
was then adopted. Over the years D’n’P has grown to become one of the top Disco and
Karaoke service providers in London and the south east, performing at events in areas
of London, Kent, Surrey, Oxfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire to name but a few. Dave
was joined by Alex Riley not long after D’n’P started up. Alex assisted Dave at most
events helping to compere and host events. Coming from an entertainment background,
Alex was and continues to be a valuable asset to D’n’P, with his knowledge, lively
character and unique presenting style. Alex and Dave still work together to this
very day under the D’n’P Events brand. Throughout D’n’P’s existence, Dave enlisted
the services of his father in law, Geoff, whom has many years experience with electronics,
in particular audio and visual equipment. Geoff continues to work with D’n’P by maintaining
and servicing the D’n’P equipment to ensure reliability and meet customer, venue
and legal requirements.
Sounds United Disco.
Sounds United Disco was formed by Dan Broughton in 2004 after
a short period of DJ-ing at events for a local football team by nicking his dad’s
Hi Fi amp and speakers and hooking them up to an old mixer he had! After some time
Dan decided to purchase some professional equipment and has never looked back since!
Sounds United Disco was then formed by Dan, specialising in 18th and 21st birthday
parities among other events. Dan ‘bumped’ into Dave Lamb at his local pub one night,
unaware that Dave was already in full swing with D’n’P Disco and Karaoke. The pair
got talking and as they say “ the rest is history”. Dan and Dave started obtaining
and distributing work between Sounds United Disco and D’n’P Disco and Karaoke as
well as working together at various events.
By mutual agreement, Dan passed on full
responsibility for Sounds United Disco onto Dave Lamb in 2009. It was then decided
to rename the reformed business D’n’P Events, since the majority of the work was
not solely disco based. Bringing the two units together with a host of other contacts,
we are able to offer a vast array of Mobile Events Solutions, from karaoke to an
outdoor event, from a pub to a large outdoor open space.
